I am sure that it is no surprise to know that I am a life long organiser and planner, long before the "magic of tidying up" became a thing! or the decluttering movement.
My first recollection of knowing that I am a natural organiser was playing with my Daisy doll. I used to love lining up the wee shoes and sorting out the clothes (hand made by Mum) into neat little piles. This "condition" never really went away, just ask my flatmates from University who used to laugh at my colour coordinated and organised underwear drawer.!
Tidying with Tania was however a complete epiphany, it literally came to me in a moment of absolute clarity. What more could a girl want than to turn her passion and skill into a dream job and that’s my goal. I am in the process of creating my dream job as Professional Organiser and online entrepreneur and creating Tidying With Tania was my first step.
I love sharing my ideas, tips and advice through my blog posts and now complement this by offering my services as a Professional Organiser.
So by following along with my posts and online information and access to my services I am here to help you turn your spaces into great places.
I met my husband Pete when he was 27 and I was 17, yes it was love at first sight. So far we have achieved 30 years together and 22 years of marriage. I am so incredibly lucky that at such a young age I found the person to journey through life with, each our own person but connected by an unbreakable tie between our hearts.
No words can describe what my two children mean to me, I often look at them and cannot believe that they are mine. Alex and Oliver are strong and independent young adults who make their silly parents incredibly proud and we love them to the moon and back.
I am a southern gal at heart, born and raised in the small port and rural town of Timaru, New Zealand. My bedroom window looked out to the mountains, to the McKenzie country, as it is known, where Mt Aoraki stands. The McKenzie country was my childhood play ground, boating on the lakes, hunting in the hills and fishing in the rivers. This place is my place…where I came into the world and where I will return …it is the most special place in the world.
I am tall, got lots of thick curly hair…Pete’s standing joke is “the eighties called and they want their hair back” , blind as a bat in one eye and can’t see out the other, talk to myself a lot, like to be fit and active but not always achieving that, love gardening , especially growing veggies, fan of Shakespeare and Jane Austen, love listening to music and going to gigs, my dream car is a Maserati Quattroporte….ohh that sound! but I make do with a Hyundai ix35 instead. Like a laugh or two, can be loud and always fall asleep on the couch about 7pm each night…just like my Dad, and wake myself up with a snort!!!
